The Anaheim Community Services Department recognizes the following
organizations and individuals for their outstanding donations of $1,000 or more to our programs during January and February 2012.
The Anaheim Public Libraries appreciated receiving in-kind donations from the following supports: JAMES MEDINA, $5,104; KEVIN MOORE, $4,475; BEA NORTH, $1,177; and JUNE GLENN, $917.
The FRIENDS OF THE CANYON HILLS LIBRARY contributed $5,300 in support of the Library. Donations include library supplies and materials, and paperback book racks for the children's area.
SERVICE CHAMPIONS HEATING AND AIR generously donated $5,075 to the Emergency Assistance Program which provided food vouchers, rental assistance, gift vouchers and emergency assistance to needy families in Anaheim.
The Anaheim Senior Programs appreciated receiving donations totaling $1,925 from EMERALD COURT, in support of the Emergency Assistance Program, special events and health and wellness programs.
The City of Anaheim's "Thank You" Recognition Event received $1,000 sponsorships from ANAHEIM REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER and DISNEYLAND RESORT.
SCAN HEALTH PLAN generously supported the Anaheim Senior Programs by providing health and wellness programs at the Downtown Anaheim and Brookhurst Community Centers, valued at $3,000.
The ANAHEIM TRANSPORTATION NETWORK provided bus transportation to the Project S.A.Y. program participants for several field trips. In addition, ATN provided complimentary trolley services to individuals attending the Art Crawl Experience in Downtown Anaheim. The total value of their generous contributions totaled $5,000.
The Anaheim Public Library received a generous donation from MARY HIRAHARA of $2,000 in support of the Anaheim Heritage Center. The donation will fund future exhibits profiling Frank Hirahara’s contributions to the aerospace industry.
The CITY OF ANAHEIM EMPLOYEE GIVING CAMPAIGN raised $3,192 in funds generated from the campaign’s special events. The proceeds were donated to programs supported by the Anaheim Community Foundation.
