Thewind of change EVENTS AND DIARY PAGES INFORMATION – KEEPING PACEWITH CHANGE!

You will have noticed that the ‘Blowin’ in theWind’ events and diary pages have changed.

The reasoning behind such a change is simply that we need to keep things fresh, but also that we need to listen to our readership, to continue to learn, and also to keep up to date with developments.

The idea of publishing an events section was really down to your editor being invited to 4 events in different parts of Europe on the same day, with very little notice – it is just not possible to be in all those places at the same time.

It demonstrated that the industry was just not communicating well enough. That is whyWind Energy Network was created – to help solve that situation.

We also had individuals and companies telling us that to find out what was on when and where, they had to visit up to 10 different websites – everyone seemed to only promote themselves rather than the industry as a whole.

TIMES CHANGE

Our published magazine events section may be helpful, but in a fast moving industry, and theWind Energy Industry is moving faster than any other, the events section is out of date before it hits desks!

That is why we will be focussing on the development of our online events section and reducing the printed version to feature just a few prominent events, which we believe are the ones to highlight.

WEBSITE EVENTS SECTION

Our online website events section is however limitless and immediate, so we can feature relevant events from everywhere and at any time – all we need you to do is contact us and we will do the rest. We manage our own website so your details can be uploaded almost immediately we receive your information. There is no charge for promoting an event.

We can then continue to develop as the already recognised communication hub for theWind Energy Industry.
