speech, she encouraged the children of customers of Seaway to also be- come customers. Seaway is one of the few Black-
owned banks still running in the US. She talked about how they were able to endure for so long to keep the bank independent. She assured Blacks that they would have a better chance at fi- nancing now that she’s in charge, and that people with bad credit will also be assisted. Henry Abraham was one of the last
to speak. He said his job is to ‘lead leaders into leadership.’ He’s very straight-forward and down to earth, tells it like it is regardless of what the audience thinks. Some of the out- standing things he said were, “the most valuable real estate in the world is the graveyard, because it’s full of unfulfilled dreams”, “most people have dreams but don’t know how the fulfill them, the most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself”, “be willing to give and stay open to receive”, and “some of the most successful people tell the masses their vision and we all buy into it before they’re even cre- ated it.” The lecture was very inter- esting and eye opening. The final part of the seminar was
the closing remarks by Jonathan Stamps. He introduced the up-com- ing entrepreneurs and their products to the entire audience, me being one of them. I was astounded by this gra- cious act. He told the audience that there are brothers and sisters around who are starting enterprises and need their support. I was used as an exam- ple. Stamps informed the audience of
the magazine and encouraged them to donate $1 for each copy. This in- spired people to purchase the maga- zine. It was utterly amazing. He was also selling them to the people him- self. I never had so many people de- sire the magazine at once and Stamps didn’t ask for anything in return. Af- ter the closing remarks, the audience and guest speakers were able to in- teract with each other while getting more refreshments. Overall, the seminar was a success.
