DS has updated its Tuscan solid wood worksurface range with an enhanced choice
of pre-finished Oak worksurfaces that bring a modern twist to this classically popular material. The new family of four Oak worksurfaces have
been designed to appeal to classic and modern tastes, with elegantly stained colours that open up the design flexibility of this popular material for a wider range of kitchens. Fossil Oak tracks the trend for greys, Chalked Oak
provides a whitewash effect and Espresso Oak has rich, brown coloration. European Oak with its natural grain is perfect for classic tastes. All are constructed from high quality 40mm staves and have the benefit of being pre-finished. The oak has been coated with a UV oil and stained so it is ready to fit on site, dramatically reducing installation time and ensuring superior looks. Reflecting the current trend for thinner worktops,
the 11-strong range of Tuscan worksurfaces are available in thicknesses starting from a slimline 26mm through to 60mm, with matching upstands in 100mm, except Bamboo at 40mm. There is a flexible choice of sizes in 2m, 2.4m, 3m and 4m lengths, five thicknesses of 26mm, 28mm, 40mm, 50mm and 60mm and two widths of 650 and 900mm depending on the species selected. Nine of the Tuscan timbers are fully FSC and PEFC
certified with Bamboo and Iroko complying with EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) requirements, underlining the range’s environmental credentials.
