2020 – Five goes live F

or kitchen and bathroom designers, as with most businesses, time is money and so

anything that saves time and makes life easier is always welcome. The new release of 2020 Fusion has been developed to improve speed and optimisation. Simon Purves, 2020’s Director of Sales explains more. The advancement of CAD and its transformation

in the way we do business, is probably the most significant change the kbb industry has seen over recent years. But, as with everything, the functionality cannot stand still as retailers and manufacturers want more from their software. Couple this with the fact that customers are becoming more demanding, continually challenging the way businesses interact with them, means that software developers are constantly working on enhancements to improve the customer experience. 2020’s developers worked hard on its latest

release of the world-leading 2020 Fusion software – Version 5 – which launched this summer. “The main theme of Version 5 is an improved

customer experience, increased speed and optimisation,” explains Simon. “This builds on the improvements to Version 4 which made the overall design process quicker and more intuitive. “The most significant enhancements to the

application are in the areas of printing, exporting, movie creation and 360º panorama generation. 2020 Fusion is now able to take advantage of multi- core processing and place these time-consuming tasks in the ‘background’, saving designers a significant amount of time and freeing them up to create or edit other designs in the meantime.”

Greater levels of engagement The 360° Panorama feature allows 2020 Fusion designers to create and share immersive 3D views that will make their clients feel like they are right inside their dream room. “The designer can e-mail a link to the client which can be viewed from any web browser or mobile

device and can also be shared with friends and family,” continues Simon. “This innovative means of sharing design ideas offers an even greater level of engagement and interactivity between the professionals and their clients. “Plus, the 2020 Fusion 360° Panorama Export

feature has been updated to support ‘2020 VR Viewer’ glasses. 360° Panorama exports from 2020 Fusion are now fully compatible with this new technology, which means that - when viewing a 360° Panorama on a qualifying smartphone – there

is an additional viewing option that allows customers an even more immersive experience when viewing a representation of their newly designed space, using 2020 VR Viewer glasses, or equivalent.”
