In an attempt to demonstrate some environmental responsibility, initiatives such as recycled water and solar power will be employed. Unlimited Snow, which recently opened a Chinese office, has also provided the masterplan and detailed design for the 65,000 sq m Winter Land coming to Shanghai. Located close to the city’s Disneyland and Happy Valley parks in Pudong, this will be the largest facility of its kind in the world, featuring also a ski slope, hotels and residential accommodation, in addition to an indoor theme park, theatres and retail. Opening is scheduled for 2018/19.
