This is
Schlitterbahn’s latest record-breaking water ride
First it had the longest river ride, then the longest torrent (action) river ride, then the tallest waterslide. Now, the Schlitterbahn group is building the world’s tallest water coaster and putting it into its Schlitterbahn Galveston Island waterpark in Texas. Called Massiv, the waterslide coaster will be in place in time for the park’s 10th
anniversary celebrations this summer. Twice as long as any waterslide currently in the park, the exact height will be announced later this spring. Not only will Massiv be the tallest waterslide coaster in the world, but it will also
have a number of other innovations, including a translucent section that will make riders visible from the river below. There will be four uphill sections, with six blaster jets. Finally, there will be a triple-drop ending into a landing pool, a never-done-before thrilling finale to the ride. Massiv utilises the Master Blaster technology invented 22 years ago by Schlitterbahn’s Jeff Henry before being licensed to WhiteWater.
Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters
Just opened at Disney California Adventure Park outside Los Angeles, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters replaces Luigi's Flying Tires within the Cars Land section of the park. Miniature Italian roadsters move to upbeat music as they perform the traditional dances of their hometown village, Carsoli. Disney guests are able to ride and glide as they spin across a trackless “dance floor." Each vehices has its own signature moves, allowing passengers to enjoy a different ride experience depending on which car they board.
Octonauts 4D
Amazon Adventure 4D is the first Octonauts film for the attractions market following a new three-year deal between SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment and Silvergate Media. Audiences can see – and feel – the action as the Octonauts travel deep down into the Amazon River in search of a lost city and Kwazii’s long lost grandfather, Calico Jack. Now in its fourth season, Octonauts is aired in over 100 countries across the world, including the Disney Channel (USA), CBeebies (UK), ABC (Australia), TF1 (France), Super RTL (Germany) and CCTV (China). The new 4D film will be available to attractions worldwide following its UK debut in May.
