Sales Manager for Tourism Fiji UK/Ireland Location: UK
Responsible to: Regional Director UK/Europe, based in the UK
Seeking a full-time, pro-active sales/trade manager with proven experience with the Australasia/Pacific region who is well-known to the travel industry partners in the UK/Ireland. The role requires a strong sales focus and the ability to maintain and manage trade and airline partners. The candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, good English speaking reporting, budgetary and administrative and IT ability. They will be required to support and launch the implementation of the online travel trade training platform and incentivize sales teams, manage events and be willing to work at occasional exhibitions. The candidate should have excellent training and presentation skills in English, be willing to travel continually throughout UK/Ireland and occasionally Europe and up to twice a year to the Pacific region. The candidate shall need to report market trends and further drive visitor arrivals and revenue for the destination. The candidate must be culturally sensitive and respectful. Clean personal record and driving license required.

Job Description: •The Sales and Reservations specialist will be responsible for taking new enquiries by phone and email.
•Cover the traditional reservations function on a needs basis by answering the phone and supporting the commercial team with reservation enquiries.
•The successful candidate will report into the Reservations supervisor.
•Provide an excellent ‘Helpdesk’ for the travel trade and deliver the best quality sales support service and information about TK products and services. •Action and update queues promptly as often as required upon flight disruptions.
•Ensure incoming emails are filtered and responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
•Handle fares and Ticketing with adherence to international & company rules and regulations.
•Undertake other tasks and responsibilities when required that are consistent with the position
Essential: •Excellent customer service skills •Proficient in use of Amadeus-Galileo or other GDS. •Able to organise and prioritise within a demanding environment •Able to cooperate and work well in a team •Previous travel agency / airline background experience ( min 2 years) •Customer service and reservations environment •Airline fares and ticketing.
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent A Levels.

Based in our Wandsworth office, regular travel to the Alps will be required. As part of the Overseas Operations Team, you will also be involved in day to day operations during the ski season and helping with chalet property handovers/ maintenance & paperwork, property licensing, quality control and supplier contracts. You will be the first port of call with our international property owners and agents and will maintain and create the strong relationships built with them. You will need to show excellent negotiation skills, strong contracting experience, a clean driving license and fluent French. A strong understanding of German is also desirable but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a ski industry professional to join one of the most forward thinking and fast-moving independent ski tour operators who have now been successfully providing excellent holidays for 12 years.
