Jet2 and Jet2holidays add 12 routes from Edinburgh Jennifer Morris
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have unveiled expansion plans at Edinburgh airport, including 12 new routes, an additional aircraft and the creation of 150 jobs. Four of the destinations –
Kefalonia, Larnaca, Vienna and Zante – are exclusive to Jet2 at the airport.
The other new destinations
are Antalya, Crete, Dalaman, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Paphos, Rhodes and Tenerife. All of the routes will start in summer 2016, except for those serving the Canary Islands, which will launch in February. Basing a fifth aircraft at Edinburgh, a 737-800, will provide additional seats to Alicante, Faro, Ibiza, Majorca, Malaga, Menorca and Reus.

Wizz Air has introduced allocated seats on all flights, ‘basic’ and ‘plus’ fare categories, and updated branding. The developments follow the

from East Midlands airport to Kefalonia and Verona next summer.
