PROSPECTS POSTGRADUATE AWARDS 2014 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED
The fi nalists have been unveiled for this year’s Prospects Postgraduate Awards, which saw more than a hundred universities, careers services, students and businesses enter. Sponsored by University
Business, they are the only annual accolades solely dedicated to celebrating best practice and the most exciting developments in UK postgraduate education. Universities across the
country have been shortlisted for awards. Forging ahead are Buckinghamshire New University, Aston University, University of Glasgow, University of Brighton and Birmingham City University – all of which have been shortlisted more than once. Anyone who has an
impact on postgraduate education is recognised in the Awards, which is why a new accolade has been introduced this year for ‘Best Careers and Employability Team’. Six institutions have been shortlisted for this award, which recognises and rewards the careers services who facilitate work-related
learning opportunities for postgraduates. The Prospects Postgraduate
Award winners will be announced at a glit ering awards ceremony on Monday 10 November 2014 at The Midland Hotel, Manchester, where fi nalists will enjoy a gala lunch and networking opportunities. The Awards are run by
Prospects, the UK’s leading postgraduate education publisher, which also operates
prospects.ac.uk and the offi cial postgraduate course database. Mike Hill, chief executive
of Prospects said: “We’re delighted at the response to these awards, which are only in their second year but already building momentum. The calibre of entries demonstrates the commitment and passion of the teams involved. I look forward to the awards ceremony and wish all of those shortlisted good luck.” The Prospects Postgraduate
Awards judging panel includes representatives from the NUS, Association of Graduate Recruiters and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
