The ERF 500 is designed for a maximum throughput


of 5,000 kg/hour of post-consumer or post-industrial plastic waste. The compact and durable unit is able to handle contamination levels of up to 18% by weight. Developed for film and sheet applications, the ECO


can remove cross-linked and high-molecular material fractions as well as gels contained in the melt. It is rated for a maximum contaminant level of 1.5% by weight and is offered in two sizes: the ECO 200 for throughputs up to 1,000 kg/h and the ECO 250 for a maximum of 2,500 kg/h. Both the ERF and ECO filters feature a rotating,


cylindrical filter screen. When melt flows through the filter, contaminants are retained on the outside of the screen. The slowly rotating filter screen is cleaned with every revolution by a scraper. ❙ www.ettlinger.com

The side feeder has also been designed to simplify attachment to the extruder barrel, while its materials of construction can match those of the extruder screws and barrels for the feeding of highly abrasive and highly corrosive products. The ZSE Maxx extruders combine high specific


torque (up to 15.0 Nm/cm³) with a high available screw volume (OD/ID = 1.66). As a result, increased through- puts can be combined with low temperatures, ensuring optimized energy efficiency. ❙ www.leistritz.com


Motan-Colortronic will focus its display on its latest Metro G loader range and MetroLink automatic coupling station. The modular Metro G


loader range is designed to allow units to be simply optimised for particular


applications. For example, a standard material loader unit can be 60


expanded into a clean room version simply by adding the special vacuum diaphragm valve. Similarly, a dust removal module can be added to provide fine dust removal at the loader, essential for critical engineering plastics applications where absolutely no dust must be allowed to enter the process. The Metro G system can also be fitted with tangential


material inlet modules to provide a cyclone effect for processing those materials where a more coarse dust separation is required. The new Metro G loaders can work in conjunction


with the compact MetroLink material selection system, which is designed to provide the correct material/ machine connection quickly, reliably and without risk of confusion or contamination.
