Kerzner International has revealed plans to develop and operate a new One&Only resort in Bahrain. The property will open in 2016 in Seef, on the north coast of Bahrain, with about 150 rooms and suites, villas and estates. Alan Leibman, chief executive
of Kerzner International, said: “I am thrilled we are able to develop this world-class destination. “More and more visitors are
discovering Bahrain for leisure and business and I am looking forward to introducing the resort to our loyal One&Only guests and new guests alike. “The beachfront location
is remarkable and I am very confident the resort will define ultra-luxury in Bahrain.” The hotel will have a private beach and meeting, sports and entertainment facilities on site, as well as a One&Only Spa. The newest resort in the
collection is the One&Only Hayman Island in Australia, which opened in July. The hotelier has also announced plans to develop two resorts in Sanya in Hainan, China, and in Montenegro, which will be its first property in Europe. Kerzner manages eight One&Only resorts in the Bahamas, Mexico, Mauritius, the Maldives, South Africa, Dubai and Australia.

Regal Hotels reveals plan to open 40 hotels by 2019 Hong Kong-based Regal Hotels plans to treble its property portfolio to 40 by 2019. The growth plans include two new brands, iClub and premium luxury brand Regal Royale. Regal has five hotels in China and seven in Hong Kong, with 12 properties due to open by 2016. The first Regal Royale will open in China in 2016.
