Make Fresher’s Week count
Leafi eld Environmental is off ering universities the chance to sign up for a free marketing pack to help encourage students to recycle more. Developed to help sustainability
personnel to communicate key messages about recycling, the pack contains free posters, an interactive student quiz and top tips for raising awareness about recycling and sustainability.
Fresher’s Week is the perfect time to grab students’
at ention and embed a culture of responsible recycling. A student recycling and waste survey conducted in 2013 showed
50%* of students do not recall receiving information about recycling, suggesting a big opportunity to improve communication. Most students have some interest in green issues, so why not
develop some quirky posters to at ract new members to join your environmental group? Our ‘Did you Know’ posters can be used around campus, with posters and stickers for recycling points included in the free pack. Recent Leafi eld research found six diff erent types of recycler:
Hungry Hoarder; Fancy Foodie; Charity Chic; Eco-warrier; Homemaker or Recycling Retentive. Students can discover their recycling personality by completing a quiz which they can share with friends. Leafi eld Environmental MD Phil Maddox said: “We developed these
