MADE IN GERMANY High-quality disc springs
For over 50 years, Mubea Tellefedern GmbH has specialised in the production of high-quality disc springs, all of which are ‘Made in Germany’. Through its product innovations and high manufacturing penetration, the company says it has set the standards for superior quality and economic efficiency.
O
ver 400 sizes according to DIN 2093 and Mubea’s in-house standard can be delivered from its stores. Further proof of the high standard that Mubea sets for its products is the development and construction of
complex tools for sophisticated disc springs made to customer requirements – all of which are manufactured in Mubea’s own tool construction section. As the manufacturing process takes place entirely in-house, Mubea has been able to expand on DIN 2093 and define additional manufacturing steps by the term – Mubea’s in-house standard. This means, for instance, that the lifetime of Mubea disc springs are significantly increased through standardised shot blasting. Another innovative development from Mubea is the generation 2 disc spring that the company introduced several years ago. By using a special manufacturing process, the lifetime of the disc can be increased by a factor of 10 compared to shot blasted discs. For the most part, disc springs manufactured by Mubea
are designed and optimised according to customer specific requirements. Design programs that have been developed by Mubea can precisely calculate the best disc solution for each
application. Mubea provides its customers with a calculation program for the preliminary design of individual disc springs. Furthermore, force/path diagrams for all standard disc springs are reproduced in the Mubea disc spring handbook. Because they are specially produced, Mubea disc springs can
be found in the most diverse industrial areas, but mainly where strict safety requirements need to be fulfilled, even in the face of challenging underlying conditions. Examples are their use in satellites, in safety valves for deep sea oil platforms, in power station security zones, in securing buildings against earthquakes, and in safety brakes for the most diverse applications. Material analyses, internal stress measurements, corrosion
and crack detection tests (not only as they occur during the prototype phase) are performed in Mubea’s own laboratories. For producing prototypes, Mubea has a sample production section with comprehensive know-how. This enables the manufacture of complex, close tolerance, springs. Plants from the serial production process are often used to make prototypes – even at this early stage, knowledge can already be gained for the later serial production process.
‘Made in Germany’ approval
Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH is a supplier of high-speed fastening technology and has been selling high-quality stud welding products all over the world for more than four decades.
H
einz Soyer is comprehensively certified for quality, safety, environmental protection and workplace safety, and all stud welders in volume production bear the GS mark. The company has always aimed to offer all products from a single source to ensure the best possible quality. By setting up a manufacturing centre for the production of quality weld fasteners, Soyer successfully closed the final gap in its range of services and products in 2002. In 2010, Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH says it was the second company in Germany to be awarded the certified
proof of origin ‘Made in Germany’ by TÜV NORD CERT. “With this test mark it is confirmed by an independent external certification body that products have been manufactured
in their country of origin. This certificate creates transparency and guarantees that customers and consumers are supplied with products that are in compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety.”
