One last time This is just a short note to let you know

that the picture of the yellow #21 model on page 20 of the April issue of FMis my Cham- bermaid Racer No-Cal. It has a 16-inch wing span and weighs 7 grams. The prop is made from a Styrofoam coffee cup. It was built from plans by Mike Nassise from his great newsletter, Tailspin. The plan can still be ordered from Mike for $2. I hope that more indoor fliers will attend

our 2nd indoor event at this year’s King Orange Contest in Palm Bay, Florida held Dec. 29–31. Wishing you continued great success with the best model magazine and to the new editor, Thayer Syme. ALANMKITARIAN Palmyra, New Jersey

Alan, Thanks for the kind words and the correction. I am sorry that the mistake got through twice. You were not alone in point- ing out this error and I believe we finally have it sorted out within the office. I was glad to see that King Orange is embracing indoor Free Flight as part of the event and hope to make it myself one of these years. I have just spoken with Mike Nassise and can confirm that he is still producing Tailspin and that the cost is a modest $15 a year. For those who are not subscribers, why not give it a try? Mike can be reached at 22 Green- field St., South Easton, MA 02375.

Winter Condor replica which will fly before our final meet of the year. No doubt my brother’s Nieuport 17 will fly before that! Don Srull recently sent me a great photo of Goldberg, Winter and himself.

Srull have a lot of modeling history to their credit and we are all the richer for their ef- forts. I can’t wait to see the Condor finished up and in the air. Please do shoot a photo this way when you are done. All the best to your local crew. I know you have a great time whenever you get together and that is, after all, the point of all our madness, right? –THAYER

Foam molding techniques I just received my May issue of FLYING

MODELS and was blown away by the article and pictures on Depron forming by David Johnson and Sean Cassidy. The model air- planes shown were some of the best I’ve seen and to find out that they were Depron “foamies” is absolutely great. I’m interested because of my long term interest in using Depron as a modeling medium, and I would very much like to get in direct contact with them in order to ask them some questions that I have developed over the years. SCOTTMCKIE via email

Scott, I have forwarded your email to Dave

and Sean and wish you well with your Depron models. I was just as impressed as you when I first saw their models and was very happy to finally bring their techniques to press.

Views from various angles, many with interior shots, help the modeler create or replace exact replicas of their favorite aircraft.

The 3-Views are high quality scale drawings many of which provide the enthusiast precise dimensions. There are over 39,000 pages of 3-View line drawings in Bob's collection.
