What a lovely month we have enjoyed! To kick start, we had a fantastic night out at the POPAI awards on table 21 with the Plan to Install team. I would like to send out a huge thank to Mike and his wonderful team for a truly memorable evening. From all of us here at A1, we send our congratulations to all the winners from the evening! Just as we had recovered from the POPAI awards, it was time to dust off our glad rags again for the VM and Display Awards, which took place on 25th October 2013 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. We were proud to present the award for ‘Best Sale Window’ on the night. To read about all the winners, turn to page 42.
This month, we are proud to be media partners to the fantastic LuxLive exhibition at Earls Court. Lighting is more important than ever when it comes to designing and specifying in stores and LuxLive offers something for everyone in the retail industry. We have put together a two page preview of the exhibition.
Just like everyone else we have started to think about Christmas here at A1 and we are currently putting together our annual Christmas Displays feature for our December/ January issue. If you have projects you would like to send in for possible inclusion, please send it to

Last, but by no means least, we would like to congratulate our lovely Devon who gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Henry on 25th October 2013.
