he fittings within a store are hugely important. If consumers walk in to a uninviting or badly designed store they won’t be staying for a prolonged amount of time. Retail spaces need to be well lit, spacious and organised in a well thought out manner. At the conception stage it is important for retailers to get the store right; this can be from specifying the right materials to integrating the correct technology to keep consumers engaged and involved in the brand.


Egger offers retailers a range of hardwearing laminates in a range of designs and textures. They have recently extended their UK range and added another 125 laminates to the collection. This new range includes a real alternative to materials such as linen, metal, leather and concrete. Egger now offer 237 laminate décor options on a just‐in‐time basis, via a national network of distributors and back up stocks held by Egger itself. This offers great flexibility for shopfitters – knowing they can specify and order quickly.


Around half of the range can be paired with matching MFC boards and edging – these come in a newly expanded range of sizes. Jayne Dixon, Egger’s Specification Marketing Coordinator, believes the enhanced range of decors – together with lifelike new prints and textures – will help the company to win greater market‐share in the UK interiors, shop‐fitting and architectural specification sectors.

Digital signage and in store entertainment are always advancing and being incorporated in to stores in many different ways.
