the torpedo homing system is activated and target is detected and locked on.
On the whole, the CLUB missile sys- tems allow to solve the every tasks put for the Naval Forces, which makes these systems cost efficient. Long flight range of the missiles makes it possible for combat units armed with CLUB missile systems to ensure destruction of surface, underwater and coastal targets at a safe distance from the enemy. Missiles of di- verse purpose within the system as well as a universal fire control system enable to vary ammunition set on carriers de- pending on the task.
IDEX-2007 saw a novelty - aircraft-based cruise missiles of CLUB familly 3M-54AE, 3M-54AE1 and 3M-14AE to arm existing and future aircrafts offered by Russia for export
Anti-ship cruise missile 3M-54E and its modifications are fitted with an active radar homing head which per- forms target detection and terminal guidance. Subsonic speed and low flight altitude (~20 m) when cruising give substantial advantage in flight reticence and manoeuvring at target approach. Besides, the supersonic stage separated at a distance of about 20 km away from the target and having flight speed of about 1000 m/s at an altitude of 5-10 meters, equipped with a heavy-weight penetrating warhead, ensures high efficiency of destruc- tion of enemy’s ship at a long distance – up to 220 km.
Anti-ship missile 3M-54E1 and its modifications have smaller dimen- sions and mass and fits to torpedo tubes and launchers of 6 m long. This missile has bigger warhead mass (400 kg) compared to 3M-54E missile and its modifications.
The high-accuracy cruise missile 3M- 14E and its modifications fitted with a 450 kg warhead are intended to destroy stationary and slow-moving targets lo- cated along coast or within operational depth of enemy’s territory: adminis- trative centres, weapon and oil depots, military operation centres, ports and airports infrastructure, radar stations and radio-relay stations, fuel termi- nals, etc. The missile on-board equip- ment ensures high reticence of flight in

the mode of terrain skimming at low altitude. During its cruise portion of trajectory the 3M-14E missile flies autonomously following the pre-set route and updating its position with the help of data from satellite naviga- tion systems.
Anti-submarine missiles 91RE1/ 91RTE2 are meant for defeating subma- rines of all types. They consist of boost- er and sustainer stages with a separable warhead being a torpedo. The 91RE1/ 91RTE2 missiles conduct autonomous flight to deliver the torpedo and drop it in the given area. After splash-down,

CLUB missile systems, once shown at the International exhibition IMDEX- 1999, are being constantly upgraded by EMDB “Novator” through mod- ernization for new types of carriers. This year exhibition IDEX-2007 is also expecting a novelty – presenta-
