HAC Day Article by Marion Cairns

With only another six weeks left of the 2010 Polo Season there are tightly scheduled and exciting tournaments and matches arranged to enthral both visitors and players alike.

This Sunday was no exception, with the London Club hosting the Honourable Artillery Company polo team against the Infantry in aid of the H.A.C Benevolent Fund. Friends a and family spilled into the club house and picnic areas, to enjoy this splendid day and a great show of skills from both the ‘Young and the Bold’

The Honourable Artillery Company Corps of Drums lead the player onto the pitch while the Wimbledon Grey Hound Association collected for their charity.

It was The Hurlingham Polo Association’s Young England match featuring the up and coming sons of no fewer than 7 players, which had spectators in divided camps on their feet cheering on Young England Black and Young England

White. Both teams, playing spirited competitive polo with young Casabal, Hyde and Brodie showing skills beyond their years.

At the end of the match both teams clambered onto the Supacat which transported them from the pony line to the clubhouse for the presentation.
