COURSES Just when you thought education was boring, we’ve dug up some of the weirdest courses for you to choose from. There is literally a degree for everything, here are some of the best.
CRAZY DEGREE
Surf Science and Technology (University of Plymouth)
Surf science? Your guess is as good as mine as to what this course is about but do we really have to rattle our brains to find out? No, not at all! This degree is for those that love the cool breeze in their hair and the golden sun up above while they slick their hair back and jump on their surf board and coast.
Wearing a fluffy toy on your hand and making sounds to kids was not the future career we hope for, but some took the games a little too far. But what catches my attention is the course details. They say you will learn how to “understand, respect and work effectively in order to appreciate the theatre!”
I take it we all know how to have a little fun right? Well it looks like some people need to be taught how to smile and forget of all the things that are troubling their minds. This degree gives the opportunity - to those that want to take it, the chance to explore the mind and expand on all the little adventures that you can get up to.
Could I see a show of hands if Tesco, Morrison’s, Asda or even McDonald’s run a course before they employ you? Somebody...... anybody.....I take that as a no! Its amazes me that Blackpool College is offering a course that teaches potential casino workers how to welcome new players to the table!

I think most of us that have experienced someone passing away wants their souls to rest in perfect peace. I think those who take the Foundation degree in Funeral Services at Bath University want to see that this is ensured. Some will say that’s nice and others will think “how creepy”.
