PROFESSOR GREEN
We managed to catch up with one of the hottest stars of this year, Professor Green, the man behind the hits: ‘I need you tonight’ and ‘Just be good to Green’ (feat. Lilly Allen). He had this to say when chatted with him at Sonar, Barcelona:
Here we are, back stage at Sonar with the one and only Professor Green. How you doing homeboy? I’m well!
I just heard you had a mad show..how did it go? Yeah, the show was really good. You know, it was my first big European gig so I was like, ummmm...I was just gonna go home, but it was wiiicked! ....People absolutely packed the place out, nobody was sitting down, everybody was vibing, so I’m happy,
I’m in a good mood man....
Lovely.. The crowd was feeling it. Yeah! Good gravy action!
Man, it’s a lovely day out there for it, isn’t it? You know what? Being English, look how pale I am..Yeah bruv, I don’t see much of the sunshine, so I’m enjoying it!
I think you’ll be out here for a little while, you’ll get a bit a of colour in you, you’ll be loving it, you might not go back home! I have to go back home tomorrow. (Puts on sad face) =[

OK, so the new single, that’s out, that’s bubbling right now. How did you hook up with Lily? How did that work? Well, we’ve had been introduced a while before, but we were friends on Facebook and she just popped up on the chat, you know, and said “what’s going on?”, she was somewhere in Europe and she’d been partying with Scream and Benga the night before... I told her to watch herself innit,
haha, I know what a liability them men are. Then we started talking about music and I’d just cleared the rights to use the words from “Don’t be good to me”. She was like “What? That’s like my favourite song ever, let me hear when you’re done with it.” So I sent it over and she just goes “Well why don’t you just let me sing the chorus and then we can perform it live at Bestival.”
Wicked, so what you looking forward to seeing now at Sonar? I’m gonna go watch Speech Debelle later, yeah and just have one...one....one or two beers....
