RME Fireface 400 FireWire Recording System

The Fireface 400 is a multi- channel FireWire audio inter- face for use with both the Mac and Windows. The eight bal- anced analog inputs and outputs (output 7/8 unbalanced) are equipped with software controlled switching of reference levels. Channels 1/2 provide two mic inputs with a digitally controlled input stage, individually switchable 48V phantom power and Neutrik Combo connectors for XLR and TRS. Digital connectivity is provided by ADAT Lightpipe I/O along with coaxial S/PDIF which is AES/EBU compatible. BNC connectors allow Wordclock I/O. SteadyClock allows the unit to function as a sync reference for a whole studio. SteadyClock refreshes clock signals, removes jitter and provides optimal conversion quality, irrespective of the quality of the reference clock. Internal flash memory allows the unit to be configured and used as a stand-alone device, without being connected to a computer. Front panel controllability, highly flexible professional quality I/Os and a 648-channel matrix router make the Fireface 400 a complete solution for digital audio.

RME Fireface 800

56-Channel, 24-Bit/192kHz FireWire Audio Interface

With the Fireface 800, up to 16 analog sources can be connected at one time, which include four mic preamps with phantom power available. Dual ADAT ports add further connectivity by inputting or outputting up to sixteen digital channels from the correct digital sources. A front-sided headphone output is adequate for low-impedance headphones, and represents playback channels 9/10. The headphone output can be used directly with ASIO Direct Monitoring. A Hi-Z instrument input is provided for the use of guitar and bass. A soft limiter, a drive circuit and a speaker emulation filter can be used to further enhance hese instruments. The instrument input can be used instead of the line input or with it. The 1/4” TRS jack and the XLR input of the mic preamp can also be used simultaneously. In this way, up to 35 signal sources can be connected and recorded onto 28 separate tracks. DSP-based mixer allows all inputs and outputs to be freely mixed, distributed and routed. Up to 14 completely independent stereo sub-mixes are possible. Every single sub-mix channel can be recorded directly, without the need of external cable loops. #RMFF800 ..............Call or Log-on Page 1  |  Page 2  |  Page 3  |  Page 4  |  Page 5  |  Page 6  |
