S5 Mobile Internet Device
The S5 is a compact, pocketable computer that weighs less than a pound. It has a 4.8” high resolution (1024 x 600) touch-screen capable of displaying 720p HD video at near-native resolution. It can run for up to 6 hours on a single battery charge. It can also sleep for up to 200 hours per charge, and be ready to use from sleep in as little as five seconds. It features 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and an integrated GPS system that lets you know exactly where you are in the world. Powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Silverthorne Z520 CPU, it has 1GB of RAM comes with 60GB hard drive or 32GB SSD drive and runs on Windows XP Home (installed). The computer’s interface is enhanced by Viliv’s Cube UI overlay which allows you to launch your favorite programs from easily-accessible bubbles for quick access. You can access up to 180 different applications in this manner. An on-screen keyboard allows you to type with ease. It features haptic feedback, which provides physical confirmation of a button press via vibration—making touch screen typing errors a thing of the past. In addition to touch selection of items, a four-way jog wheel and clickable mouse button are present for cursor control. The system also provides dedicated keyboard and menu buttons.
