Digital Sound Projectors
Yamaha’s Digital Sound Projectors offer the most convenient way to achieve multi-channel surround sound from a single unobtrusive source component. No more multiple speakers, no more clutter, no more hiding wires. They incorporates 40 beam drivers, two woofers and 42 corresponding digital amplifiers– no other receiver, amplifer or speakers are needed. Wall-mounted or placed on a shelf or rack, they deliver sensational multi-channel sound for Blu-ray discs, DVDs and other digital sources. They feature HD Audio decoding (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio) as well as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS HD. They offer 11Cinema DSP programs (3 movie, 3 music and 5 entertainment) to create thrillingly realistic soundscapes in any room. They features analog to HDMI video upscaling, numerous listening modes, and custom installation functions. They also include four 1080p compatible HDMI inputs and one output with Deep Color, XV Color, Auto Lip-Sync and CEC functionality, to facilitate pure digital connections with the latest home theater components. Otherwise identical, the YSP-5100 has two built-in tweeters to ensure high stereo sound quality.
• IntelliBeam™ automated system calibration enables quick and easy set up each for the optimal listening experience.
• They achieve true surround sound by directing sound beams off the walls to reach the listener from various angles. The main mode is 5 BeamPlus2 for 7-channel sources. In addition, there is a wide variety of other listening modes.
• Digital Sound Projector™ Technology controls the orientation of the sound by focusing it through
multiple beams. The center channel sound is heard directly, while sounds from other channels are heard after reflecting off walls. The result is true multi-channel surround sound that sounds just like a multi-speaker system—but without the need for extra speakers.
• Built-in FM tuner and SIRIUS Satellite Radio ready
• UniVolume technology maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, programs, commercials and input sources. It can be switched on and off.
• When connected to a CEC compatible TV, such as a Panasonic VIERA Link TV, they will turn on and off together with the TV. Their volume can also be controlled via the TV remote.
• Music Enhancer function restores what was lost, when music is encoded into a digitally compressed format like MP3, so your music always sounds the way it should.
• Custom installation functions include RS-232C, IR in aIR pass through out and extended IR
• They include accessories for wireless iPod/iPhone and subwoofer transmission. Using Yamaha’s yAired technology, there is no loss of signal data like with systems using Bluetooth technology. Also provide synchronized power on/off and can charge your iPod with the included charging cradle.
