Answer the Question and Write the Sentences
OBJECTIVES Students will C demonstrate knowledge of unit vocabulary by choosing the correct word to describe something.
C demonstrate knowledge of unit vocabulary by writing sentences that contain pairs of vocabulary words.
GUIDE STUDENTS Tell students that in these activities they will use their knowledge of the vocabulary words to choose the cor- rect word to describe something and to create sentences for pairs of vocab- ulary words. For the first activity, they can think about the meaning of each answer choice and how they would use each word to describe something. Then they can read the question and underline the correct answer.
For the second activity, tell students that their sentences should contain context clues that suggest the mean- ings of both vocabulary words.

Enrichment Related Words
Explain that the various forms of some of the words in this unit are also related to the theme of measurement, for example, plenty and plentiful; deduce and deduction. Challenge students to work together to cre- ate a bulletin board display of words relat- ed to measurement using different forms of vocabulary words. Students can use a dic- tionary to find and check words.
