MISSION STATEMENT


Te purposes and objectives of the Texas State Rifle Association are as follows:


Mission I:


To champion and support the rights of law-abiding Texans to own, enjoy and


use firearms as guaranteed by the State of Texas and the United States of America.


Mission II:


To protect and defend the inalienable right of the individual Texan to acquire, possess, transport, carry, transfer ownership and enjoy the right to lawful use of firearms for self-preservation, for defense of family


and property, and for the common defense of the republic and the individual liberties of the people.


Mission III: • To support junior education,


competition and hunter education programs.


• To declare a state champion in the various competitions.


• To support Texas state teams at the national championships.


We will accomplish this:


• By defending constitutional rights; • By supporting and promoting public


safety, law and order, and national defense;


• By providing training and education to firearms owners and the public, with a special emphasis on youth;


• By educating the public in the spirit and letter of the law;


• By promoting hunter safety,


wildlife conservation and wise use of our natural resources;


• By sponsoring competitive programs for juniors and adults in individual and team shooting sports; and


• By educating the public on the laws and proposed legislation that conflict with the spirit and letter of the


constitutions of the State of Texas and the United States of America.
