The festivities begin on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 with the Defenders Reception and general reception prior to the TSRA Foundation Fundraising Event. We would like all TSRA Defender members to be our guest for a cocktail reception Friday evening and a personal invitation will be in the mail to you. If past years are any indication, the TSRA Foundation will once again have a fantastic selection of items, including lots of guns, to be bid on and win, during the evening. Also, tons of other valuable items to select from while providing valuable support for the education, training and support mission of the TSRA Foundation. There will be great food and lots of fun so plan on purchasing your tickets early to ensure you join in. The TSRAAnnual Membership Meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, Feb. 25, 2017, and will include updates from TSRA officers, TSRA Foundation and TSRA staff members on the activities of 2016 and plans for 2017. It will be an opportunity for Legislative Director Alice Tripp to provide insight into the 85th session of the Texas Legislature, which began on Jan. 10, 2017.

In addition, we will recognize Sen Brian Birdwell (R-Granbury) as our 2016 Doc Brown Legislator of the Year. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will be our featured keynote speaker to close our general session.

On Saturday afternoon, while the TSRA Board of Directors are meeting, we will have four concurrent education sessions for non-board members to choose from: • Fred & Kay Barecky will return with the very popular Refuse

To Be A Victim program. There will be a $5 charge for educational materials, which will be valuable take away for attendees. • Attorney James Willi will discuss NFA Trusts and answer any and all questions you have about setting one up for Class 3 firearms and suppressers. He’ll also address the implications of the National Hearing Protection Act regarding suppressers. • NRA Certified Reloading Instructor Mike Chastain will bring his popular Reloading 101 to the AGM. In this day of high-priced ammo, the avid shooter who wants to save pennies per round, which add up to serious money, will want to learn valuable tips from Mike. • The Collier Girls (Faith and Jenna) along with dad Anthony

Collier, will talk about Social Media for Clubs & Individuals, as a way to promote your discipline and/or club, while having fun at it. Also, Niki Jones and Carrin Welch of Sure Shots Magazine will discuss their digital publication and how you can utilize today’s technology for the benefit of your shooting club. We’ll wrap up the day on Saturday with a reception honoring our Alamo Society Members, along with a general cocktail reception in the Atrium with our vendor/sponsors. The Awards Banquet Saturday night will be our opportunity to recognize the many honors TSRA members have received through the year in a variety of shooting disciplines.

Please purchase your ticket in advance of the dinner, as seating will be limited. The evening will wrap up with featured closing speaker, Katie Kieffer, sponsored by AEPS, Inc. Katie has tremendous insight into today’s world of politics and economics for a young lady her age. Visit her website of www.katiekieffer. com to learn more about her, but most importantly, come see and hear her in February.
