JESSUP’S CLASS OF 2016 IS OFFICIALLY ON THEIR WAY TO TRANSFORM LIVES FOR CHRIST.

On Saturday, April 30, just under 300 students received diplomas from William Jessup University. The ceremony took place from 10 a.m. to noon at Adventure Christian Church in Roseville. “We look forward to the impact our

graduates are going to make as they transition from our university setting,” said President John Jackson. The majority of graduates received

psychology, business, education and ministry- related bachelor degrees. According to a graduating survey conducted by Jessup, 73 percent of respondents indicated they will be employed after graduation in areas such as ministry, business, technology and teaching. This year marks the eleventh graduation ceremony celebrated by the 77-year-old university since its move to Rocklin in 2004. Efrem Smith, Founder and CEO of World Impact delivered the memorable

keynote address to graduates. Smith is an internationally recognized leader who uses motivational speaking and preaching to equip people for a life of transformation. He consults on issues of multi-ethnicity, leadership and community development for churches, educational institutions and other organizations. Smith is also the author of Raising Up

Young Heroes, The Hip Hop Church, Jump and his latest book, The Post-Black and Post-White Church.

“We are pleased to have had Efrem

share his perspective with our graduating class,” President Jackson said. “His passion for reconciliation while reaching urban communities, specifically the marginalized proved to be transformational in the lives of our graduates.” Prior to commencement, a baccalaureate

service was held Friday, April 29 to honor Jessup’s graduates as they matriculate into various ministry fields and the marketplace.
