Michele Van Dyke (Cooper '11)


and her husband Richard welcomed their new little girl,


Rebecca Ann on December 31, 2015. Tey currently reside in Fair Oaks, CA.


Harrison ('12) and Heather (Garcia '13) Bond welcomed their second child,


Hunter Alan, into the world on February 7, 2016.


Sara Hickenbottom ('15) is teaching 4th grade at Cirby Elementary School


in Roseville, CA. She is also engaged to Nick Tiche and getting married in October 2016.


Danni (Garber '11) Crane and her husband Philip welcomed their first child, a


daughter, named Natalie Darlynn Crane on August 30, 2015. Danni also completed her MA in History in the spring of 2016 as well.


Daniel Martin ('14) is moving from Oak Hills Church in Folsom, CA where he led children and youth, to HOPE Christian Fellowship in San Gabriel, CA where he is Associate Pastor.


Pamela Christensen ('05)


finished Theology at Western Seminary and


accepted a call to serve as Pastor of Stewardship at Riverbend Church in Austin, TX.


Scott Mehan ('12) earned a Master's degree in International Cooperation and


Development from Bethlehem University in Palestine in 2015. He then started Refugee Utility Project, a nonprofit, and moved to Zarqa, Jordan in August 2015 (due to the high population of Syrian Refugees.) The organization's main goal is to provide emergency relief to those displaced by warfare and conflict. To learn more visit: refugeeutilityproject.com.


Jasmine (Geller '06) and Norm Underland ('07)


welcomed their third child Freija


Grace on June 15, 2015. Their family lives in Seattle, WA.


Emily Brown ('15) is recently engaged to Jackson Munde. She is teaching 6th grade at Fillmore Middle School in Fillmore, CA.


Amber (Spiro '15)


married Jessup classmate Zane Pexa in 2013. The couple started a


business together and are expecting their first child in October.


After a year of "subbing" in the Placerville Union School district, Rebekah


Jackowitz ('15) was hired to teach a 4th grade class this fall.


Reverend Chan Kim of Folsom, Calif. went home to be with our Lord last March. Kim graduated from SJCC (‘95) and served on staff at many churches throughout Northern California (most recently at Ark Mission Church). He loved serving God and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Diane and two children Kylie and Brandon.


Pastor Rob Belles (’05) passed away last April. Rob served as Senior Pastor at Caldwell Christian Church in Caldwell, Idaho. He was a graduate of William Jessup University with degrees in Bible and Theology and Pastoral Ministry. He was a loving husband and father to wife April (’02), daughter Abigail and son Elijah.

Chelsey Katt ('15) is currently serving as a missionary/English teacher at a Christian bilingual school in Honduras for a year. "I truly believe my time at Jessup has equipped me with a strong foundation in Christ as I serve him abroad."


Laurie (Shortess '92) Barnes and her husband Jim are missionaries serving in the Czech Republic for almost 20 years and have established and operate a public Christian library which serves as a unique and culturally relevant means for outreach and evangelism. In early March they welcomed Kevin Pischke, University Librarian along with Daniel Gluck, Assistant Professor, Intercultural Studies and their 10-year old sons (Cooper and JD) to Prague. Their visit was part of a weeklong tour to the three


European libraries, which are part of the ministry Open Door Libraries www.opendoorlibraries.org -- Kevin serves on the Board of Directors.


Chris Miller ('02) has served as Pastor of Student Ministries at First Baptist Kingsburg for almost 10 years. He and his wife Carrie have two daughters, Alyssa and Lyndsey.


Lee Shafer ('53), chairman of Korea Christian Gospel Mission has resigned from their Board after serving for 50 years. The resignation was necessitated by Lee's kidney failure following successful heart valve replacement. The work of KCGM in spreading the gospel in Korea, North Korea and other fields


continues, being led by Dr. Yoon Kwon Chae ('60).
