RECENT EVENTS from theEDITOR
In John’s Gospel, our Lord boldly proclaimed his farewell and return to the Father before His beloved disciples when, in the midst of His discourse, He began to pray and ask the Father for their future.
His prayer was for our unity; a unity found in the gospel. Unity for those given to Him, and for those who, in the future, would be drawn by the Father to become believers through the teaching of the word by the power of the Holy Spirit.
At Jessup, we pray as our Lord prayed; for the future. We are determined to navigate each cultural pressure in prayer. We pray for God’s hand in our consistent growth, that it be firmly etched in a solid biblical foundation. And we pray for God’s revelation as we continue to welcome record numbers of new students and add new programs, faculty members and course offerings.
We pray for you. We pray that you find yourself in these pages. As you read each story, celebrate each new program, every student and faculty achievement and contemplate the next possibility. We pray that you find yourself in Jessup’s future.
Maybe that future is enrolling as a Jessup student. It might be joining us as a generous donor. Or it might be that you find yourself in daily prayer before the One who is sovereign, the only God who is able to craft our oneness, our unity and our futures for His glory alone at William Jessup University.
