to hire an additional 200 sales and service employees to serve its customers, bringing the total to 750, a nearly 40% increase in US employees, to service the nearly 100,000 ma- chine tool users here. Dr. Mori acknowledged that he knows the hiring alone will be no small feat, and he talked about the strength of the German and Japanese programs for educat- ing highly skilled manufacturing employees.
