The Maryland men’s team is wearing special BTB helmet stickers in honor of Hall of Fame coach Buddy Beardmore, who died Jan. 20 at age 76. His motto, “Be the Best,” remains with the Terps program to this day. Beardmore led Maryland to NCAA championships in 1973 and 1975.

The article about gay and lesbian issues in sports (“They Stand With You,” March 2016) is not appropriate for some of your readers and I don’t think this helps in growing the sport. Articles should
be about the players and not about life choices. ... My family and I don’t push our life issues to the sport and I don’t think this should have a place in your magazine.
