usage charts aren’t enough—they want to know when their home is using electricity and how much it is using— in real time.
At Choctaw Electric, your employees have been working for months in preparation for a new service that will meet these needs and a lot more. The service, known as Smart Hub, will be up and running on December 23, replacing CEC’s current online bill payment service with a platform that is much more powerful. Not only will Smart Hub allow CEC to communicate more effectively with you, it will also allow you to communicate with us on multiple mobile devices.
With Smart Hub you can view your bills, see payment history, make payments on one or more accounts, set up recurring payments and report outages and other service issues!
With Smart Hub’s two-way communication, CEC will be able to notify you of any service problems or planned outages in your area. You can also sign up to receive usage alerts and other notifications.
Perhaps the most popular feature of Smart Hub are the informative graphics that let you visually monitor and evaluate your usage over a period of time. “Use Smart Hub to compare current bills to previous bills, compare daily usage, and
even “overlay” that usage with weather analysis for these same periods of time. This detailed information will help you understand how your home uses energy, and help you make changes in your usage habits that will lower your electric bill.
For CEC employees and members alike, Smart Hub is a valuable tool that will help all of us become more efficient. With access to the same real-time data, CEC members and employees will be “on the same page” when discussing billing questions. We hope this will help us answer your questions and resolve your problems more quickly, and to your greater satisfaction.
You will find more details on Smart Hub on page 3 of this issue. In the coming months, I encourage you to give it a try. It’s a smart service for energy-savvy consumers, and we think you’ll appreciate it.
