CHS Biology instructor Brenton Cherry added: “Lyndsey has earned superior grades and displayed an above-average work ethic. Based on grades, a endance and class par cipa on, I would rate her academic performance in my class as excep onal. She has a number of strengths to off er any organiza on. She is resilient, determined, hard-working, resourceful, respec ul and honest. She has consistently shown her ability to work well with both her peers and younger students. Her involvement in civic ac vi es and contribu on to our community are testaments to her

Grant Crupper

Represen ng the Mayes County area in accep ng the 2017 REC College Scholarship is Grant Crupper. A 4.0 student focused on achievement, Crupper received the PHS Academic Excellence Award and was named valedictorian of his gradua ng class. An Oklahoma Academic Scholar, he is a member of both the Oklahoma and Na onal Honor Socie es. Addi onal achievements for Crupper included enrollment in AP Calculus, being named Northeast Technology Center Student of the Month, and membership in the Na onal Technical Honor Society.

Crupper has been accepted to Oklahoma State University and will begin his pursuit of a degree in Computer Engineering this fall.

A busy high school schedule for Crupper meant involvement in both basketball and student council, as

leadership and work ethic. I believe her performance in my class and devo on to excellence are an indica on of how she’ll perform in the future.”
