Attend Your KEC District Meeting Members in Districts 1, 3, 5 and 7 to meet on August 1

District meetings are held annually so that members may choose their representative on the KEC board of trustees. Nominations for trustee are accepted at the meeting. If members nominate more than one candidate at the meeting, an election will be held immediately following the call for nominations.


To hold an election, a quorum of at least 10 percent of the members living in a district must be present by 11 am. If no quorum is present, the incumbent trustee retains his or her position for a two-year term.


District 1, 3. 5 and 7 are currently represented by the following trustees: Rusty Shaw, District

1; Ron Pelanconi, District 3; Don Parr,District 5 and Larry Culwell, District 7.


Members living in these districts should watch the mail for their official district meeting notice. The notice will include the date, time, and location of their meeting.


Kiamichi Electric encourages you to attend your district meeting, meet your trustees, and visit with the men and women who work at your co-op. It's also an excellent chance to ask questions and learn about the issues that affect your electric service reliability and rates.


Any qualified member may run for the position of KEC trustee. Trustee qualifications and nominating procedures are detailed in the KEC bylaws. Pick up a copy at KEC headquarters in Wilburton or call 800-888-2731.
