NFEC Engineers Graduate Power Line Design and Staking Certification Program

Scholarships Available

Getting a college degree requires commitment and finances. NFEC wants to help with the finan- cial aspect of getting that degree for six deserving area students.

Each year NFEC awards $500 scholarships to six students who are graduating from area high schools. The selection committee reviews numer- ous applications searching for those students who have high academic standards, and who are also involved in school activities and their communi- ties.

To be eligible to receive NFEC’s Academic Scholarship, the student’s parents or guardian must be members of Northfork Electric. Interested seniors can find and download an application from NFEC’s Website under the ‘community’ tab. Ap- plications are also available from school counsel- ors.

Applications need to include an official copy of the student’s transcript, one letter of recommen- dation from a school source, and one from a non- school source, and a letter of acceptance to the college or vo-tech, if possible. Applications need to be postmarked or hand-delivered by April 1. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Matt Swint, NFEC youth programs coor- dinator, at (580) 928-3366, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Applications must be submitted to Matt Swint no later than Saturday, April 1.
