capacity of 250 KW. Our team will work with you to make sure your installation is sized appropriately and installed correctly. The Distributed Generation and Net Metering Program Guidelines and our Rules and Regulations are on our website at www.tcec.coop.

An affordable alternative to installing something on your property is our Community Solar option, which benefits all members and has about a 10-year payback period. The price per share (equivalent to a panel) is $326 for a subscription through the year 2041. Members receive a credit on their electric bill for their share of the energy produced by the array.

Again, if there is any energy topic you have a question about or are considering purchasing, please don’t hesitate to contact TCEC to discuss it in more detail. Our number is 580.652.2418 and our email is info@ tcec.coop. We’re here for you. n

Keep your info current

Electricity is a necessity. Sometimes, TCEC schedules automated calls to notify members of planned outages or pending disconnection of their service. We might mail a deposit refund check to the mailing address on fi le. Your email is used to access your account online and you can use it to subscribe to notifi cations.

To ensure you receive the latest information regarding your service, be sure to provide TCEC with the best phone number and email address to reach you. Starting in January, our member service team will verify this information when you call to help ensure your contact information is up-to-date. n

Free app shows savings

The free Together We Save app, available to TCEC members through our association with Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, shows you how the little changes add up to big savings. It helps you discover easy ways to save energy and money in your home.

The app includes calculators for lightbulbs, appliances, refrigerators, water heaters and space heaters.

You can also receive tips based on your preference. Choose a random tip of the day or view tips about water heating, kitchen effi ciency, laundry, lighting, heating, air conditioning/ cooling or appliances.

To download this or any other mobile app available from TCEC, look for Mobile Apps under the Account tab at www.tcec.coop. n

Energy Effi ciency Tip of the Month

A crackling fire in the hearth warms the house, but don’t let it heat up your electric bill! Caulk around the fireplace hearth and keep the damper closed when a fire is not burning.

Electrical Safety Tip of the Month

If you see a downed power line, move away from it and anything touching it. The ground around power lines – up to 35 feet away – may be energized. You should assume that all downed power lines are live. Contact TCEC immediately if you see a downed power line.
