BOLT Fiber Delivery At-A-Glance


BOLT Fiber Op c Services is eager to provide you service. Since this project began, 650 miles of overhead fi ber backbone and 19 miles of underground line have been installed. Employing over 100 crew members, primarily through contractors, progress toward one the best things to reach northeast Oklahoma is happening. It is a tremendous undertaking, but one BOLT is proud to tackle.

BOLT and its contractors obtain easements from property owners and construct a backbone fi ber op c system, responsible for moving data to consumers.

BOLT receives the signals for services. The data center houses equipment required to forward the data and signals. Referred to as the headend, it is the fi rst step to receiving BOLT’s triple-play (television programming, Internet, and VoIP) of services.

Fiber op c line is extended all the way to the home. A small fi ber box will be placed on the exterior, while equipment to handle the data and provide service, the ONT or Residen al Gateway, is installed in the interior of the home. All services are delivered through one entry point.


In neighborhoods and communi es without overhead lines, BOLT contractors must trench and perform direc onal boring, which places fi ber op c lines in conduit underground. The  me it takes to install is dependent on the ground quality.

Once data is delivered to the Residen al Gateway, it is distributed to equipment to provide the services requested by the consumer. High- speed Internet, HD television, and crystal-clear VoIP are ready to be enjoyed.
