New Website! If you’ve visited Choctaw Electric online lately, you’ve noticed the change: CEC’s website got a face lift!

The new and improved website features a clean design that is easier to read and navigate. The site also adjusts automatically to fit any screen size including smartphones, tablets, iPads, laptops and computers.

Further enhancements include an internal search feature, making it easy for members to find exactly what they’re looking for by typing it into the search box.

Members who prefer to report outages electronically will appreciate the site’s new outage report link. The link appears at the upper right of every page on the site. Clicking on the link carries you to an outage report form where you can include important information such as your name, account number, service address and pole number. Remember, providing as much detail as possible helps CEC crews pinpoint the source of your outage more efficiently. CEC encourages members to use the outage report link , particularly during a major weather event when the co-op is experiencing high call volume.

Other improvements include a link for all forms required to apply for service, transfer service, sign up for bill payment plans and more.

CEC Whistle-blower Policy Protects Those Who Come Forward

FIND IT ONLINE www.choctawelectric.coop

One of the first actions taken by Choctaw Electric’s new board of trustees was to establish an official ‘whistle- blower” policy for the co-op. That policy is posted

online at www.choctawelectric.coop under the menu item “About Us.”

The whistle-blower policy provides a procedure for employees to report any wrong doing at CEC, and protect employees from any negative actions taken as a result of their reports. The policy also ensures protection for trustees who report problems.
