METALCASTING SUPPLIES Ring Grips to Maximize Jaw Life Hydraulic Manipulators for Precise Handling

Hydraulically powered manipulators from TDA Buddy Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich., allow workers to hold and maneuver parts up to 1,000 lbs. and help perform ma- terial handling placement. Te manipulators have a throttle-style control feature with variable speed motion control to ensure precise handling. TDA Buddy’s hydraulic manipulators are powered by on-demand hydraulic pump systems that conserve energy and extend pump life. TDA Buddy pneumatic manipulators have maximum 10-ft. reach radius, a vertical travel of 64 in. and rotation up to 360 degrees. Tooling is offered with vacuum, mechanical or pneumatically actu-

ated grippers. Visit www.tdabuddy.com for more information.

Te jaw forming ring from Dillon Jaws & Chucks, Dayton, Ohio, pro- vides a uniform grip on the workpiece to maximize jaw life for cutting and forming operations. Mounted in direct contact with the top jaw, the Dillon jaw forming ring preloads the chuck- ing system. Te ring lessens jaw stock removal required during parts setup and increases up-times for running machined parts. Jaw forming rings are available for power chucks ranging from 5 to 12 in. Tey are capable of a wide range of jaw formations and fea- ture a self-centering action to provide

equal pressure on all jaws. Visit www.dillonmfg.com for more information.

Swivel Fittings for Easy Blow Off

Te new mini swivel fittings from Exair Corp., Cin- cinnati, can be used to adjust the posi- tion of its air nozzles. Te 316 stainless steel mini swivels are available in three sizes, each allowing for 50 degrees of adjustment so nozzles can be in the best position for maximum effective- ness. The 1/8-in. MNPT Mini Swivel Fittings work with the M4x0.5 Atto Super Air Nozzle, the M5x0.5 Pico Super Air Nozzle and the M6x0.75 Nano Super Air Nozzle. Exair’s swivel fittings can be used in applications in tight spaces or those requiring a mini- mal compressed air. The nozzles have been engineered to maximize entrain- ment of room air while minimizing

compressed air consumption. Visit www.exair.com for more information.
