Orozco’s boss, Poppy Hills superintendent Matt Muhlenbruch. Both Orozco’s tuition and housing was paid for by Poppy Hills and the NCGA. “Matt believed in me. I’m very appreciative for the opportunity that he, Poppy Hills and the NCGA have given me,” Orozco said. “I’m very grateful.”

Meet Poppy Hills’ New Tournament Director

P

oppy Hills has a new tournament director. Jeff Vanderhoof was promoted to the position in June. The 26-year-old

started in the cart barn in 2012 and later moved in to the pro shop in 2015 where he took on an assistant role with tournaments. Since arriving at Poppy Hills, Vanderhoof ’s passion for the game and commitment to service has only grown. “I enjoy catering to dif-

many different people in this business.” Now, it’s just a matter of

group out here,” Vanderhoof said. “We’re here for you.” –J.S.
