“I believe I can be the best out here. I’ve seen it now for a year and I’m looking at it going, ‘I can do it, I know that I can do it.’”

How much did the JTNC help you in becom- ing the player you are now? The experi- ence that I had playing on the JTNC helped me get to a higher level of play as well as a higher standard of my character. The tour was a great stepping stone to my golf game now. The way the JTNC officials acted and supported the players only increased my respect for the game. They gave me a great deal of respect toward the association because of their first class actions on and off the course. + + +

What’s been the biggest adjustment to Tour life? I think it’s still time management, and making sure that your body is healthy and fully ready to go come Thursday and Friday. I was a little beat at Jack’s tournament through two rounds at The Memorial, I’ve got to ad- mit. I’ve got to be more relaxed and not practice too much when that happens. The big adjustment has been keeping my body healthy and mak- ing sure that I’m on a good schedule where nothing is being rushed, I’m just going through the motions and it’s just happening and free flow- ing, and I haven’t gotten there yet. Because I still don’t have my card and I’m working to attain it. + + +

Do you have some players you typically play practice rounds with now? No, I like playing by myself actually. I’m super comfortable just going out there and doing my own work by myself, and from that I can get my work done. + + +

Now that you’re out here on Tour, who would you say you’re close to? Ben Crane’s been really nice to me. Every one of them has been really nice to me, I haven’t had any problems with anybody. They’ve all been super genuine and real with me, and it’s been a fun jour- ney out here with these guys so far. I joked around with Jason Gore, who I joked around with at the SaveMart Shootout in 2005 when I was like 11 or 12, something like that. He was out there and I was a little kid that came up and started talking to him

and hitting golf shots off the ninth green for the little charity event deal they had before the tournament. He was up there giving me a lot of crap as a 12-year-old and he’s still giving me crap today. He’s an awesome guy.

What’s the biggest difference between the best players on Tour and the best college-lev- el players? You’re playing a lot more golf than you are in college. So saying that, you’re not going to be as healthy all of the time. You’re going to have some
