The Lakes and Ranch courses at


Genoa Lakes are open nearly year- round—even if there is snow on the ground, it can melt away in time for an afternoon tee time. You can ski Heavenly in the morning, and play 18 holes at Genoa in the afternoon. (December can be a bit dicey for golf during a healthy winter.) Ambitious locals have even invented a Reno- Tahoe triathlon that includes bowling after skiing and golf.
