issues with your body, and it’s going to be hurting here and there at different times. But if you can push through that and make sure you’re getting enough sleep, enough rest, rehabilitat- ing quite nicely, then nothing should stop them, especially the top collegiate players. I was one of them a year ago but you can do it, they all can do it.

What part of your game needs to improve to consistently be in the hunt on the PGA Tour? Time. I think that over time I’ll be right there. There’s no doubt that I believe I can be the best out here. I’ve seen it now for a year and I’m looking at it going, ‘I can do it, I know that I can do it.’ I know that I can get up there with the top guys in the world and play, and be the best one day hopefully. + + +

Who’s game has impressed you so far on the PGA Tour? Whenever I’ve seen the best players in the world play it’s obviously great, but it’s not anything special. They get it done, they get it in the hole, they make a lot of putts, and they do their job. Who’s impressed me, based on finishes, is Patrick Reed. How he’s been able to get into the top 10 almost every week. It’s huge. He’s definitely consistent at play- ing great week in and week out. He’s impressed me a little bit. I don’t focus too much on that, I just focus on my game and trying to do my absolute best out here.

Do you think other players will adopt your club setup, or has anyone asked about it or tried your clubs? Not too many. You’d be surprised, you’d think everybody would come over and say ‘What is this?’ but they don’t want to mess with their sensations or feel I guess you could say. That’s just something that they don’t want to so. Rory picked them out and swung but he didn’t actually hit them. But that’s OK. He picked them up and said, ‘That’s interesting.’ + + +

There are so many amazing young players under 30 in today’s game, how do you feel about your opportunity in this game and this era? I hope that I can be a great influ- ence and ambassador for the game of golf just like Arnie has and will forever be a great ambassador for the game of golf. I hope that I can achieve that sort of level some day. In order to get to that level I have to do my absolute best in every single situation, and that’s the journey. You can’t get there in one day, you’ve got to keep working hard and get there over time.
