The Greek island of Corfu is believed to be the mythical island of the Phaeacians, where Odysseus was washed ashore on his way home. Had he seen Paleokastritsa, he might never have left. Widely known as “the Capri of Greece,” the resort town clings along a rugged coastline of spectacular beauty, where verdant mountains and sheer cliffs plunge to the azure sea, and bays lined with white sand beaches meet crystal water, a welcome stop on any odyssey, on this greenest of the Greek islands.
