Park Profile

bazaar with a terrace where guests have a unique view of the ride, as well as of a big sand dune. Simoun is a Disk 'O' Coaster from Zamperla that was
previously installed in the Netherlands at Yumble, an indoor park in Roermond that went bankrupt in 2015 just several months after opening. The 24-passenger attraction was dismantled, transported and assembled directly by its Italian manufacturer while the park maintenance team made some adjustments to some technical parts in order to fit in with outdoor weather conditions. At the same time, La Mer de Sable also renewed the popular stunt shows presented daily in the park, including the guest favourite attack of the Pacific Express train, a show that made La Mer de Sable’s reputation. New street performances
were also presented with cowboys and Indian tribes, where kids can get their faces painted just like their Wild West heroes.
The Looping Group, which was sold earlier this year by HIG Capital to another private equity fund, Ergon Capital Partners, has the ambition to boost the growth of visitors in the coming years with additional investments. “We will focus on our show offer in 2017, then make plans for a new ride for 2018-2019”, concludes Thierry Morice. “We have also decided to lengthen the 2017 park's opening calendar until the end of October, instead of the end of September as before, with our very first Halloween event in the making”.
