In the past year, new
attractions have been added at both parks. At La Granja Villa Norte, guests can enjoy The Amazon River, Magic Ships and a carousel for younger guests. Popular with the teenagers, however, is the Tagada, a spinning disc that makes sudden jumping and bouncing movements as brave riders battle to stay in their seats! Over at La Granja Villa Sur, new attractions include Farmer River, Naska Disco, a new pool area and some fresh effects inside the park’s Haunted Mansion. Suppliers include the Italian manufacturers IE Park and Zamperla, and also Unis Games of Canada, which supplied several of the smaller attractions.
Uruguay Since 2014, visitors to the city of Canelones in the Uruguayan department of the same name (about 50km from the capital city of Montevideo) have been able to enjoy the country’s first ecological park. Costaventura features a natural area equipped with outdoor adventures and for activities, mostly made of wood and steel, including walking trails, trees climbs, zip lines and more. The park represents an investment of around USD$ 1.5 million and all of its attractions were imported and installed by the Spanish/Catalan company Vertikalist, which specialises in building adventure parks like this. Costaventura’s activities allow participants to choose the levels of skill and adventure that suit them and the park currently comprises several circuits. Hiking Height is a tour in the trees, featuring wooden poles, nets, ropes and zip lines. Canopy is a 10m-high, 630m-long circuit of zip lines that run all over the place. Challenges of Direct Action comprises games at height, where guests can develop skills, while a series of team action games encourage ingenuity and teamwork. The Sensory Circuit is designed to stimulate the senses through contact with nature, and also features some jumping beds. There’s also the BTT obstacle course for cyclists as well as an additional activity course for children from 5 years. Built to the best international safety standards, the park covers
an area of 30,000 square meters (98,000 sq ft). According to Costaventura CEO, Eduardo Pose, a second phase is already planned which will incorporate a hostel aimed at those who enjoy adventure and the natural environment.

que al concluir el proyecto, tendrá un área de 30 mil metros cuadrados de superficie “eco-amigable”, donde se ofrecerán juegos de aventura, la mayoría de ellos fabricados en madera y acero, dentro de los mejores estándares de seguridad. En una segunda fase, dijo Pose, Costaventura tiene
previsto incorporar un Hostel de Aventura, un sistema de hospedaje especialmente diseñado para quienes disfrutan de la aventura y del entorno natural. Actualmente, Costaventura cuenta con varios
circuitos: Senderismo de Altura, un recorrido en árboles, postes de madera, redes, cuerdas y tirolinas; Canopy, un circuito de tirolesas, de 630 metros de recorrido, a 10 metros de altura, que recorre todo el lugar; BTT Todo terreno, que es un circuito de obstáculos para bicicletas; Retos de Acción Directa, que son juegos de altura donde se pueden desarrollar habilidades personales y en equipo; Juegos de Acción en Equipo, para desarrollar el ingenio e incentivar el trabajo en equipo; el Circuito Sensorial, diseñado para estimular los sentidos a través del contacto del cuerpo con la naturaleza, y las Camas Elásticas, en las cuales se vive la sensación de saltar a más de 6 metros de altura.
