rand Casino Bern was the very first casino to adopt DRGT systems in Switzerland – back in 2008. Casino Bern
offers six different jackpots to its customers that are managed by the DRGT system: Swiss Jackpot, Auto Jackpot, Parking Jackpot, Hot & Wild Jackpot, Teatro Jackpot and Mystery Jackpot. All these jackpots are managed by the DRGT system. The sheer jackpot variety was introduced in 2007. The increased requirements on the system meant that Casino Bern management had to look for a new supplier – and chose DRGT. Mr. Gerhard Stiegler, Technical
Director at Grand Casino Bern, comments, “Our customer focus has always been our motivator for change. As a team we constantly look how we can ensure that our guests spend the best possible time in our casino. The introduction of a wide degree of jackpots brought the previous systems technology to its limits. We researched the market and chose DRGT, at that time its Austrian counterpart SiP. We have been working together with DRGT since 2008 and are very satisfied with the DRGT system and the support this company gives us”. Mr. Stiegler added: “For us it is unique in the market. The future- looking DRGT technology requires no central server – that is a massive benefit. There is no single point of failure. The functionality of the DRGT system is excellent.”

asino Basel is the latest casino in Switzerland that is making use of the systems solutions from DRGT. The management team was looking to strengthen its systems and carried out
market research to discover the best options. Having such a strong base in Switzerland, DRGT stood out up and above the competition. The reputation for safety, quality and the simple handling of such a complex part of the business – all these factors contributed to DRGT being chosen. The DRGT installation took place on 1st December
2015. “The entire change-over to DRGT was completed in one day. And in that day the casino was open. The planning was excellent so that players hardly noticed the work going on around them”, explained Mr. Marcel Wenger, Managing Director of Casino Basel. Casino Basel makes use of a wide selection of DRGT systems solutions, including drAccouting, drJackpots, drTicket and drReports. During this one single day of installation, the first segment of slots was ready for play at 10am – the casino’s opening time. “The trust in the DRGT is very strong”, noted Mr. Stéphane Muller, IT Manager at Casino Basel. “The DRGT team is always there to help
– on a 24/7 basis. Our business relationship is extremely good, I see the DRGT staff as friends. The DRGT system is very secure. Before we had issues with our system, especially at weekends. Now I can sleep better at the weekends”. “I agree with that”, added Marcel Wenger. “It’s
fair to say that using DRGT systems adds to the quality of life of a casino manager. We were under permanent stress previously and had no overview of the problems. Also the previous system was server-based, so if there was a problem, then all the slots were affected. DRGT is not server-based so we no longer have to worry about all slots going down. On the contrary, the DRGT is extremely reliable”. Casino Basel was first opened in 2003 and today
offers its guests 300 slot machines and 13 live gaming tables. The location attracts international visitors alongside local Swiss customers as the city of Basel borders on to France and Germany. Furthermore, Casino Basel is close to the airport and offers customers pleasant accommodation with its neighbouring hotel that has 167 rooms. The events are a real highlight and are catered to international and local guests of differing ages.

Switzerland. Given its popularity, the system behind it naturally has to be very secure. The Swiss Jackpot management team was looking to introduce a brand new feature. DRGT was able to develop and introduce this feature within weeks. This feature is essential and this was a prerequisite for gaining the Swiss Jackpot systems management contract. Mr. Christian Eder, Operations Director at DRGT,
