MHIAE

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air Conditioning Europe (MHIAE) has extended its range of indoor units for the European market with the launch of the new ZTL series for residential and commercial applications. The ZTL range fi ts into the Standard Plus category of products and is available in a choice of fi ve smaller capacity models: SRK15 – 50ZTL-W (1.5kW – 5.0kW at 798mm wide) and two larger capacity units: SRK63 – 71ZTL-W (6.3kW and 7.1kW at 998mm wide). The 1.5kW unit is designed for single split use and fi ts perfectly into any small or well insulated room. The full range off ers high seasonal effi ciency performance up to A++ in cooling and heating.

In addition, the new ZTL series off ers the convenience of

integrated wireless LAN. When used in combination with the Smart M-Air app units can be operated and monitored from a smartphone or tablet for optimum ease of use and control. The app also off ers other useful features such as allowing users to check their electricity consumption, and an alarm which will notify users if they leave their property without turning off the air conditioner. In developing a contemporary new external look for the ZTL

range, MHIAE teamed up with Tensa, one of Europe’s leading product designers, based in Italy. This collaboration focused on a fusion of Japan’s design heritage of clean, simple lines with the ‘softer’ European look. The result is an indoor air conditioning unit with sophisticated curved lines that will complement any modern interior decor. The remote control for the ZTL series has been newly

developed by Mitsubishi Thermal Systems with many enhanced features. These include updated buttons and a backlight function that illuminates the display at the press of a button, making it easier to operate the units in low light conditions. Furthermore, from the new remote control the temperature can now be set in intervals of half a degree Celsius compared to the current remote which uses full degrees.

Diff usion

Diff usion’s new Highline 235 modular fan coil range is a solution for buildings where noise can be an issue. Noise often tops the list of complaints for hotel guests, but this issue isn’t confi ned to hotels. Architects and developers of high- end apartments have two main specifi cation requirements when it comes to selecting fan coil units – one is ensuring the best energy effi ciency, the other is ensuring that noise levels are extremely low. The Highline 235 delivers solutions to both of these requirements. The range of fan coil units boasts exceedingly low sound

levels, delivering noise ratings as low as NR25. This ensures its suitability for a wide variety of buildings, particularly residential applications and hotels where quiet operation is critical. Meanwhile, the range’s high effi ciency EC motor and fan assemblies provide improved Specifi c Fan Powers (SFP) as low as 0.14 W/l/s reducing overall building energy consumption, another important consideration for these applications. The Highline 235 range off ers modular design, compact dimensions and advanced British-made components – and is comprised of eight models, including 13 fan combinations. Design options are almost limitless with almost 300,000

confi gurations allowing customers to choose the fan coil that fi ts their individual design criteria. This is of particular importance to buildings that undergo a change of use, as the units can be re-confi gured on-site to suit the new purpose of the building and new confi guration, this saves purchasing new models which is very costly and wasteful – a signifi cant sustainability benefi t since it lowers the embodied carbon life cycle of the building. The fan coil range can be supplied with either the Diff usion lifetime ‘Eco’ wire mesh fi lter, this option provides a robust environmentally conscious solution that can be vacuum cleaned in situ, or alternatively ISO grade media fi lters. The fi lter can also be easily removed on-site from either the side of the unit or from beneath the unit. The fi lters on the larger models are split into two parts, making them easy to remove or clean, this is particularly benefi cial when the unit is installed in confi ned or awkward spaces.  www.diff usion-group.com
