From the editor W
elcome to the July issue of ACR News. In this issue, ACR News Awards winners Carrier and Daikin elaborate on products that
earned them their accolades. We catch up with John Barker of Humidity Solutions
and fi nd out what the issues are at the front line of humidity control.
JSA Service is celebrating 50 years in business so we
take a look at the company, where they’ve come from and where they’re going. Women in RACHP has been going from strength to strength. We go along
to one of the training days the group organises to see what it’s all about. Lord Zac Goldsmith resigned today, citing in his resignation letter than
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was uninterested in climate change leading to apathy on the matter throughout Whitehall. This comes just two days after the Climate Change Committee reported that the Government’s eff orts to scale up climate action was “worryingly slow” which in turn decreased its confi dence that the UK would reach its targets for cutting carbon emissions. But regardless of the Government’s eff orts, or lack thereof, sustainability is now a part of our everyday lives. It impacts on almost everything we do, personally, professionally or otherwise – and we all have to rise to the challenge of embracing all aspects of sustainability. It’s such a big area now that we’ve split our Green Matters feature into
two, with Part 2 within these pages. I hope you fi nd this issue informative and interesting.
